Techniques to Master Multiplex Fluorescent Imaging 

Get the most out of your multiplex immunofluorescence (IF) experiments using any one of a few different methods.

  • Use primary antibodies derived from various host species and isotypes (rabbit, IgG, mouse IgG1, rat IgG2a, etc.), then probe with fluorophone-coupled secondaries specific to the host primary.
  • Use primary antibodies directly conjugated to a fluorophore or enzyme.
  • Use conjugation-ready antibodies on a multiplex imaging platform to support higher-plex imaging needs. Available conjugations include metals, fluorophores, and oligonucleotides.

    The sample was first stained with Cathepsin D (E7Z4L) XP® Rabbit mAb #88239 (green). After blocking free secondary antibody binding sites with Rabbit (DA1E) mAb IgG XP® Isotype Control #3900, the tissue was then labeled using the following ready-to-use conjugated antibodies:
